Fawn Wood | TERO Conference

The Pacific Northwest TERO Region covers a significant area, including Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Northern Utah, Northern Nevada, and parts of Alaska. Together, we work hard to help Tribal members find jobs, get training, and have better opportunities in contracting work.
Our conference is a chance for people from all over the region to come together, talk about what’s working, what’s not, and figure out how we can do better. We discuss rules and laws, share experiences, and learn from each other — with speakers who can break down complicated topics and help us all do things better.
This year, we are excited to welcome Fawn Wood as our featured performer. A Cree and Salish singer, songwriter, and traditional artist, Fawn is celebrated for her powerful voice and cultural storytelling. A JUNO Award winner for Traditional Indigenous Artist of the Year, she has also earned numerous Native American Music Awards, Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards, and Indian Summer Music Awards. Her award-winning albums include Iskwewak, Kikawiynaw, and Kakike, as well as collaborative projects and multiple recordings with her powwow group, Cree Confederation. Fawn’s music has been featured in films, TV shows, and documentaries, with appearances on Joe Pickett and Entertainment Tonight Canada’s Indigenous Icons.
