Aaron Dupree Tippin, who was born in 1958, is a renowned American country music singer and record producer with a long list of chart-topping hits. Over the course of his career, he has released nine studio albums and two compilations, all of which have been met with great success, gaining him six gold certifications and one platinum certification. His very first single, "You've Got to Stand for Something," served as an anthem for American troops during the Gulf War and propelled him to neotraditionalist stardom. Other songs such as "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong with the Radio," "That's as Close as I'll Get to Loving You," "My Blue Angel," "Workin' Man's Ph.D.," "For You I Will," and "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" have all hit Number One on the Billboard charts, with several more making it into the Top Ten. With decades worth of experience as a songwriter for Acuff-Rose Music, and later under RCA Nashville and Lyric Street Records, Aaron Dupree Tippin continues to provide music that speaks to the American working class.
