Bio
On January 22, 1990, Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, known professionally as Logic, was born. The American rapper and record producer began his music career in 2010 with his debut mixtape Young, Broke & Infamous. Continuing with the Young Sinatra series, its third installment, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever (2013), helped Logic secure a record contract with Def Jam Recordings. His first two studio albums, Under Pressure (2014) and The Incredible True Story (2015), both achieved massive success, reaching the top five on the U.S. Billboard 200 and the former being certified platinum. 2017 marked Logic's mainstream success, with Everybody charting at number one in the United States, and its lead single, "1-800-273-8255", peaking at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. He further released the Bobby Tarantino commercial mixtape series, followed by YSIV (2018) and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2019). "Homicide", from the latter, hit the fifth position on the Hot 100. After No Pressure (2020), Logic retired from music; he returned the following year with Bobby Tarantino III and his seventh album Vinyl Days in 2022, which marked his final release with Def Jam. In addition to music, Logic is an equally accomplished author. Supermarket (2019) and memoir This Bright Future (2021) both made it to the New York Times Best Seller list, though they received mixed to negative reviews. As the first musician to be signed exclusively with Twitch, Logic has also made waves in the streaming industry.
