Bio

Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino, better known as the American indie electronic duo MATT and KIM, have created a global reputation based on their upbeat dance music and high-energy live performances. Since forming in 2004, the Brooklyn-based pair have released six studio albums and have played their signature mix of samples at prestigious festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Firefly Music Festival. Their 2009 album Grand featured the certified gold single “Daylight” and its accompanying music video for “Lessons Learned” won the Breakthrough Video Award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. In 2015, New Glow was released by Harvest Records in the US and Virgin EMI Records worldwide. At the end of 2017, Almost Everyday was announced with its eventual release in spring 2018. But perhaps their most remarkable performance to date was a sell-out show of 60,000 people at the annual Fallapalooza at Creighton University in 2014.
