Robert Schwartzman's musical project, Rooney, is a timeless American rock band that held its origin from the group of friends he had in high school in Los Angeles. Consisting of him on lead vocals and guitar, Louie Stephens on keyboards and piano, Taylor Locke providing lead guitar and backing vocals, Matthew Winter on bass guitar and Ned Brower operating the drums and backing vocals - this ensemble outstandingly resembled The Beatles, The Cars, Jellyfish, Sloan and Queen in both sound and style. They were named after Ed Rooney, the famous principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off portrayed by Jeffrey Jones. Rooney has headlined shows alongside Weezer, The Strokes, Jane's Addiction, Travis, Keane, Audioslave, OK Go, and Queens of the Stone Age, delivering an enchanting blend of British Invasion rock and 1980s pop to the nation.
