Bio
Paul Wade Bowen, born in 1977 in Waco, Texas, is a renowned figure on the Texas Country and Red Dirt music scene. He started his career as part of West 84, which was co-founded by friend Matt Miller. Bowen released his debut album Try Not To Listen in 2002 to acclaim in his home state. In 2003 he followed up with a live album recorded at The Blue Light in Lubbock, while 2006 saw the release of Lost Hotel. If We Ever Make It Home was released in 2008 and was the precursor to Bowen's first major-label studio album The Given which came out in 2010. He then returned to independent releasing with self-titled album in 2014 and duets album with Randy Rogers of the Randy Rogers Band known as Hold My Beer Vol. 1 in 2015. Then Sings My Soul: Songs for My Mother signalled a gospel-influenced direction for Bowen. He subsequently released Watch This with Rogers, Solid Ground in 2018, and Hold My Beer Vol. 2 with Rogers in 2020. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Bowen launched a series of live shows - Wade's World - which hosted noted Texas musicians such as Bruce Robison, Cody Canada, and Jack Ingram.
