Bio

Since forming in 1992, Weezer has become an iconic American rock band. Their self-titled debut album, known as the Blue Album, was released in 1994 and gained multi-platinum success. 1996's Pinkerton followed with a darker sound and mixed reviews, but eventually achieved cult status and critical acclaim. After the tour for Pinkerton, the band went on hiatus before returning in 2001 with their Green Album, yielding the hit singles "Hash Pipe" and "Island in the Sun". This was followed by Maladroit, Make Believe, the Red Album, Raditude, Hurley, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, the White Album, Pacific Daydream, the Teal Album and the Black Album. 2021 saw the release of OK Human, featuring orchestral pop sounds, while Van Weezer and the SZNZ four-EP series followed in 2022. With 10.2 million albums sold in the US and up to 35 million worldwide, Weezer has defined modern rock for decades.
